“Stapki v pyasaka” (Steps in the Sand) is a song from the project "Contemporary Jazz with Bulgarian lyrics". The compositions in the project are young singer Veleka Tsankova’s first steps in creating music. She wrote all the lyrics of the songs and she is also the author of the music of some of them. "Steps in the Sand" is co-authored with the famous trumpet player, composer and arranger Mihail Yossifov, as well as Atanas Popov drums. Shibil Benev – guitar and piano, and Dimitar Karamfilov – bass, also take part in the project.
