Bulgaria hands over to Greece two members of a migrant smuggling ring

The Bulgarian police arrested and handed over to Greece two wanted Bulgarians - father and son, accused of participating in an organized crime group invlolved in migrant smuggling. They were charged with migrant smuggling from the Greece-Turkey border to Thessaloniki for EUR 2,500 per person. 

The investigation proved that the migrant smuggling ring smuggled at least 350 migrants and earned between EUR 700,000 and EUR 1 million. The operation aimed at dismantling the migrant smuggling ring was led by Europol with the participation of the Greek, the Bulgarian and the Hungarian Police, the correspondent of BNR in Greece Katya Peeva informs.
