Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Korneliya Ninova stated, at a briefing in the National Assembly, that the foreseeable timescale for returning the third mandate the BSP was handed, is 10-15 September, if, at the talks with the other parties, no agreement is reached on the formation of a cabinet.
This will mean more time for approving the update of the state budget at second reading in parliament. Korneliya Ninova specified that the invitations extended to “There Is Such a People” (ITN), “Democratic Bulgaria” and “Stand Up, BG! We Are Coming!” still stand. In her words, BSP will seek all kinds of option to form a regular government.
“We have set ourselves two goals – to form a regular cabinet to address the crises overtaking us one after the other, and a majority to continue the change of the GERB model of governance,” she said.
