One third of Bulgarian electricity is exported to neighbouring countries

One third of the electricity produced in Bulgaria is currently exported to neighbouring countries. This was said by the executive director of the Bulgarian Energy Holding Valentin Nikolov. To reduce the risk of rising electricity prices for the industry, additional capacity has been loaded.
"Currently, the export is 1,950 megawatts, figuratively speaking Kozloduy NPP works entirely for export. This shows that there is a deficit in the region, not in Bulgaria, and that this deficit is filled mostly by the Bulgarian energy," Nikolov said. .
