President Rumen Radev bestows state distinctions

President Rumen Radev awarded the Saints Cyril and Methoidius order with ribbon to Academician Vassil Sgurev for merits in the development of electronics, robotics and information technologies.

Prof. Kamen Plochev was awarded the Order of the Madara Horseman for his achievements in medicine and the promotion of relations in healthcare and medical research between Bulgaria and the European counties.

The badge of honour of the Bulgarian head of state was bestowed on Colonel Slavcho Velkov for his contribution to defence and the security of Bulgaria and his military and patriotic activity.

“It is an honour for me to bestow well-deserved distinctions on our prominent compatriots who have dedicated their work to Bulgaria and, with their professional successes, have contributed to its development and prosperity,” President Radev said.
