More than 30 students who took part in the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award received their awards from Vice President Iliana Yotova and British ambassador to Bulgaria Rob Dixon at a ceremony at the National Museum of History. In this international progrmme, young people aged 14 to 24 attain goals they have set themselves with the help of mentors.
“It is important to nurture qualities in yourself that could, at times, send you to a position against everyone else, even though you may be convinced that you are on the right track,” said Iliana Yotova at the ceremony, and added that young people see life beyond the stereotypes and clichés, and that this is exactly what we need.
