The public are not expecting a change for the better: Eurobarometer

44% of Bulgarians say that the situation in the country is growing worse. 29% see neither an improvement nor a deterioration. 24% are optimistic, indicates a Eurobarometer - Ipsos European Public Affairs survey commissioned by the European Parliament and conducted from 17 to 25 August in all 27 countries members of the EU.

Half of the respondents say they are worried that the pandemic is having a negative effect on their finances and households. But Bulgarians are not the biggest pessimists in the community. Asked how the situation is changing for them personally, 40% of the respondents in Bulgaria say that they are moving in the right direction, 17% uphold the opposite view. 35% see no change.
