Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev is proposing mandatory vaccination for people working in certain spheres.

“These groups are medical workers and nursing home staff,” Assoc. Prof. Kunchev said for Nova TV, and added that mandatory vaccination is not a violation of civil rights. “What we shall achieve is that people will not get infected because of our professional obligations,” he stated.

A third vaccination dose is advisable for certain groups, though that should be assessed individually. More than 300,000 Covid-19 vaccines will expire at the end of September. “We administer 15,000 doses a day, and at this rate there is no way we can use them all,” Assoc. Prof. Kunchev says.
