“There is Such a People" party has proposed a programme containing 18 anti-crisis measures for sustainable energy development and support for businesses and households. ITN identified several priority measures, including the implementation of a mechanism for subsidizing Bulgarian businesses affected by high electricity prices. "The funds can be provided by redistributing the huge profits generated by state-owned energy enterprises such as Kozloduy NPP and the hydroelectric power plants", said Ivan Hinovski, who chaired the Energy Committee in the 46th National Assembly.

The measures proposed by ITN also envisage the development of a three-year roadmap for full liberalization of the energy market and closure of the regulated electricity market. ITN also calls for the preparation of an ordinance for the protection of vulnerable households.
