Weather forecast for Bulgaria for October 8, 2021

Yellow code alert for intense rainfall across the country on Friday

On Friday it will be cloudy, rainy and windy over the whole country. The precipitation in Western and Central Bulgaria will be more significant. 

The minimum temperatures will be between 8 °C and 13 °C, and highs will reach 11 °C to 16 °C, for the capital Sofia - up to 11 °C.


The weather along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast it will be cloudy, windy with precipitation in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures will be from 14 °C at Cape Shabla to 17 °C in the southern coastline. The temperature of the sea water is 17 °C - 19 °C.

It will be windy and rainy in the mountains. It will snow over 1,600 m and a snow cover is expected on the mountain peaks in Western Bulgaria. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be up to 6 °C, at 2,000 m around 2 °C. 

In the resorts of Borovets and Pamporovo the thermometers will reach 6 °C, in Bansko - up to 8 °C.
