Nearly 2,500 athletes from more than 30 countries have submitted their applications to participate at the 38th edition of the Sofia Marathon. They will compete in three distances- 42.195 km, 21 km and 10 km. 25 elite long-distance athletes from Kenya, Morocco, Ethiopia, Turkey and Ukraine will start in the classic distance.

The Sofia Marathon kicks off today, October 10, at 9.30 am on Alexander Battenberg Square, in front of the National Art Gallery.
