2022 will be marked by the Covid-19 pandemic in Bulgaria, but not abroad where the coronavirus pandemic has already been contained. Bulgaria risks remaining an oasis of irrational thinking, Associate Professor Dr. Mihail Okoliyski, representative of the World Health Organization for Bulgaria, said in an interview for the Bulgarian National Television.

In his view, Bulgaria’s caretaker cabinet has made the right decision to make Covid-19 Green Certificates mandatory for most indoor activities, because the number of daily vaccinations has increased nearly threefold.

Bulgarians distrust their government and health care institutions, and are often unconcerned about their personal health, Associate Professor Okoliyski added.
