The green certificate does not violate people's labour rights, caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Affairs Galab Donev told BNT.

He pointed out that it is permissible to introduce restrictions in the pandemic in order to preserve the health and life of the population. This has been confirmed by decisions of the European Court of Human Rights and the Bulgarian Supreme Administrative Court.
Donev reminded that employers have no right to force workers to be vaccinated. Those who do not want to can be tested. Employers are entitled to receive free antigen tests. The cost of the sampling is 5 euros per test, but it can be saved if the employer provides its own medical person, the deputy prime minister explained.
