Presidential awards presented on Day of National Enlighteners

Only societies that base their development on education, science and culture can build a modern and prosperous state. This is what Bulgarian head of state Rumen Radev said during the ceremony for presenting the President's Honorary Badge to 7 prominent artists and scientists with contribution to the spiritual and scientific development of this country.

On November 1, Acad. Krassimir Atanasov received award for his contribution in the sphere of artificial intelligence, medicine and biology. Prof. Vladko Panayotov received the award for his exceptional contribution to the development of chemistry, mining and ecology. Five leading community center figures are also among the winners - Genoveva Tanchovska, Minko Stefanov, Vasil Novoselski, Aneta Mutafchieva and Danail Petkov.
