Hebar qualifies for the group stage of CEV Champions League

A Bulgarian volleyball team will participate at the group stage of the CEV Champions League for the first time since 2016. Bulgaria’s volleyball champion Hebar (Pazardzhik) defeated 3:1 Olympiacos Piraeus in a home match of the third round of the Champions League qualifiers. Hebar also won the first match in Greece.

Earlier, Hebar won versus Shakhtar Soligorsk (Ukraine) and CDV Guaguas (Spain). In the group stage, the Bulgarian team will face Jastrzębski Węgiel (Poland), Friedrichshafen (Germany) and Knack Randstad Roeselare (Belgium). In 2016, Bulgaria’s Marek (Dupnitsa) participated at the Champion’s League and placed among Europe’s best volleyball teams.
