Veselin Todorov, manager of the importing company and owner of the voting machines Ciela Norma has been interrogated by the prosecutor’s office as a witness.

The case was opened after the company lodged a complaint over the decision of the Central Election Commission, CEC, to have 228 of the machines detained, which are private property. According to Veselin Todorov, the machines are “part of the warranty service obligation and the CEC has paid for them.”

All uncertified machines are for spare parts, and some are for presentations, Todorov asserts. Asked “why would brand new machines break down, and why shouldn’t spare parts be ordered,” Todorov replieа: “They are not sold separately because the machines are specialized equipment and it is certainly by far cheaper to have complete machines ready.”
