It is now clear that the final voter turnout will not exceed or will be around 40%. If the vote goes at this pace, it would be lower. This is what the Deputy Chairman and spokesman of the Central Election Commission, Tsvetozar Tomov said. "The numbers in both types of elections show that in most cases people have exercised their right to vote for both president and parliament," Tomov added.

At 7 pm, turnout reached 36% in the presidential and vice-presidential elections, according to Gallup International Balkan, which is a partner of the Bulgarian National Radio on election day. In the parliamentary election, the turnout was 35.5 percent.

By 5 pm, voter turnout at the Parliamentary elections stood at 30.2%, data of Gallup International Balkan indicate. Meanwhile, voter turnout at the Presidential elections stood at 28.9%. According to Gallup International Balkan, voter turnout at the Parliamentary elections has almost reached that of the July 11 general elections.
