Election Day abroad ends

The polling stations in California, Arizona and Nevada, as well as in the Canadian city of Vancouver were the last to close due to the time difference between Bulgaria and North America.

Bulgarians abroad voted in 750 polling stations in 68 countries. 416 voting machines were used in 208 polling stations in 21 countries in Europe, the United States and Canada. There were two voting machines in each polling station. Thanks to the efforts of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the organizers abroad, the two-in-one elections proceeded normally and Bulgarians managed to exercise their constitutional right to vote without problems.
