Foreign Ministers bring calmness in Bulgarian-Turkish relations

On November 22, Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Svetlan Stoev, held a telephone conversation with his counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu at initiative of the Turkish side.

The top Turkish diplomat congratulated the newly elected President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and expressed hope for the formation of a regular government in the country. Turkey has expressed confidence in continuing the fruitful and meaningful dialogue with Sofia on a bilateral and multilateral level. It was proposed that the two foreign ministers should meet at the upcoming international forums of NATO and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

Minister Stoev expressed confidence that relations with Ankara would continue to develop in the traditional spirit of friendship, good neighborliness and mutual respect.
