The talks between “We Continue the Change”, the Bulgarian Socialist Party, “There is Such a People” and “Democratic Bulgaria” on the formation of a regular government continue with a discussion on the homeland security topic.

The four political forces agreed that a full functional analysis of the system of the Ministry of Interior must be made within 6 months after the formation of the new cabinet and that a new Ministry of the Interior Act must be adopted. The four political forces are planning to create a police map for police officers working in small towns, if a coalition agreement on the formation of a new cabinet is signed.

Later, the talks continued on another topic-environment. The participants agreed on the need to expand the national air quality monitoring network, increase sanctions for industrial pollution and make an urgent review of the condition of the water dams. In their view, the use of coal and wood for heating must be reduced. Bulgaria should also introduce tax incentives for the use of low emission vehicles, the political parties taking part at the negotiations on the formation of a new government agreed.

Then, the four political forces discussed topics related to regional development. The Bulgarian Socialist Party insisted that a programme for financial decentralization of municipalities be adopted. “There is Such a People” party called for a new territorial division. The coalition “Democratic Bulgaria” demanded amendments to the Law on the Black Sea Coast Spatial Development, reporter Dobrina Karambolova informed.
