The low prevalence rate of Covid -19 among students - 0.035%, established after the introduction of mandatory testing, has shown the futility of the restrictive measure on students. This is the reason why the trade union "Education" at the "Podkrepa" Labor Confederation has demanded the resignation of the caretaker Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov. The union has described the minister's actions as "educational genocide against Bulgarian students", the damage from which is difficult to repair. According to the Ministry of Education, as of today, over 60 percent of students in Bulgaria have returned to classrooms.
