The last online sitting of the joint Bulgaria-North Macedonia Commission on Historical and Educational Issues did not yield any result, the commission’s Co-chairman Professor Angel Dimitrov said. This has been the 16th sitting of the commission which has the task to reach agreement on issues of the common history of the two countries. “The common roots of Bulgaria’s and North Macedonia’s alphabet turned out to be a controversial issue for the representatives of North Macedonia”, Angel Dimitrov said after the meeting.

He reminded that on December 8, St. Clement of Ohrid Day, senior political officials in North Macedonia said that Clement had created Macedonia‘s spirituality, script and literature.
