Co-chairman of “We Continue Change”, Kiril Petkov, has been nominated for Prime Minister. Petkov was presented by the chairman of the parliamentary group of the formation Andrey Gyurov.

Today, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev handed the government forming mandate to the Prime Minister-designate. After receiving the mandate, Petkov immediately returned it to the head of state, saying it had been fulfilled and added that he expected Bulgaria would have a regular government as early as Monday.

"I believe you realize that if you did not achieve decisive changes in the first 100 days, the coalition would not win the battle for restoring the rule of law in Bulgaria," President Radev warned, expressing hope that the coalition government would hear the voice of the people.

Kiril Petkov pointed out that the first tasks of the new government would be curbing electricity prices and stepping up the immunization campaign against Covid-19. He also reaffirmed his intentions for judicial reforms.
