Bulgarian pensioners are to receive a supplement to the tune of EUR 30 during the first six months of 2022, this country’s Minster of Finance Assen Vassilev announced. This measure will cost a total of EUR 383 million and is possible due to the budgetary over-performance in 2021, Minister Vassilev specified.

Bulgaria’s business will receive state aid amounting to EUR 767 million doe to the high prices of electricity and natural gas, Premier Kiril Petkov announced. Air carriers will also receive financial assistance. The National Assembly must vote the distribution of the budget surplus, proposed by the cabinet.
