Novak Djokovic named Balkan Athlete of the Year for seventh time

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic was named Balkan Athlete of the Year in a poll conducted by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency. The National news agencies from the region- BTA (Bulgaria), ANA-MPA (Greece), AGERPRESS (Romania), Anatolu Agency (Turkey), TANJUG (Serbia), MINA (Montenegro), MIA (north Macedonia), HINA (Croatia), FENA (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and ATA (Albania) participated at the 48th edition of the traditional poll.

Basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece) and athlete Miltiadis Tentoglou (Greece) also placed in top 3. Bulgarian karate player Ivet Goranova placed 6th, followed by wrestler Biliyana Dudova.
