Prosecutor's Office starts investigation over information about personal data leakage

The Sofia District Prosecutor's Office has issued a self-referral in connection with articles in media about unregulated access to personal data of self-insured persons from the BULSTAT register. According to media reports, about 300,000 people have been affected. The inspection must establish whether there was unregulated access to personal data, the prosecutor's office said.
