Artist Michail Michailov to represent Bulgaria at 2022 Venice Biennale with “Here You Are” project

Bulgaria will participate at the 59th Venice Biennale 2022 with the project "Here you are" by artist Michail Michailov and curator Irina Batkova. They were selected in competition with 17 other candidates.

Bulgaria participates in the Venice Biennale for the 10th time. Here you Are will be set up in the Spazio Rava exhibition space located in central Venice, overlooking the Grand Canal near the Rialto Bridge. The Venice Biennale is the oldest and most prestigious forum for contemporary art forum. It will be held from April 23 to November 27.

Michail Michailov lives in Paris and Vienna. He studied fine arts in Veliko Tarnovo and art history in Vienna. He is a laureate of the Drawing Now Paris Art Award (2018). Michail Michailov also received the Austrian State Scholarship for Visual Arts (2017).
