Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 14 January 2022

Temperatures expected to go higher on Friday

The weather in Bulgaria on Friday morning will be frosty with minimum temperatures between minus 8 and minus 3 °C, for Sofia - as low as minus 6 °C.

During the day there will be cloudy patches followed by sunny spells. The wind in the Upper Thracian Plain and the Danube Plain will become stronger from the northwest and will bring warmer air. The maximum temperatures on Friday will be between 5 and 10 °C, in Sofia - around 5 °C.

It will be sunny over the mountains, but by noon also cloudy over the mountain peaks in Western Bulgaria. There will be strong to tempestuous northwestern wind. Temperatures will be on the rise and the highs at an altitude of 1,200 m will be at 4 °C, at 2,000 m - minus 1 °C.

On Saturday, the minimum and daytime temperatures will continue to rise.
