Weather forecast for Bulgaria for Saturday, January 22

Cold weather is expected in Bulgaria

Moderate northwesterly winds will continue to bring cold air in Bulgaria on Saturday. Minimum temperatures will fluctuate between minus 8°C and minus 3°C. The lowest temperatures in some Bulgarian valleys will reach minus 12°C. Clouds will increase during the day and light snow is possible in many parts of the country. Maximum temperatures will range between minus 3°C and 2°C, for Sofia minus 3°C.

There will be clouds and light snow in the mountains. Strong to hurricane-force winds are expected. There will be blizzards and snowdrifts in the mountain passes. The minimum temperature on Musala Peak, the highest mount in the Balkans, will drop to minus 22°C. Maximum temperature at 1,200 meters will be minus 9°C, at 2,000 meters- minus 16°C.

On Sunday the weather will remain unchanged.
