Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 30 January 2022

Windy and cloudy weather expected on Sunday

During the night the weather will be mostly clear. In Southwestern Bulgaria it will be almost quiet with minimum temperatures down to minus 10 °C - minus 7 °C, in Sofia - around minus 8 °C. 

Tomorrow the clouds will be variable, in the afternoon - more often significant and in some places in the mountains, mountainous and northeastern regions it will rain lightly. Around noon westerly to northwesterly winds are expected, with stronger winds in the Danube plain and the western part of the Upper Thracian lowland. The prevailing maximum temperatures will be between 6 °C to 11 °C, in Sofia 5 °C - 6 °C.

Above the mountains the clouds will be more often significant and in some places, mainly in the afternoon in the massifs in Western Bulgaria, there will be light snowfall. It will be windy with strong, at times stormy northwesterly wind. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 metres will be about 0 °C, at 2000 metres - about minus 5 °C.
