Bulgaria leaves Beijing Olympics with no medals

Bulgaria’s participation in the 24th Winter Olympic Games in Beijing ends without medals for the country. The Games close today. Bulgaria participated with 16 competitors in 7 sports - alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, snowboarding, figure skating and sledding.

Alpine skier Albert Popov was the most successful among the Bulgarian team, finishing 9th in the slalom and 17th in the giant slalom.
