World leaders send greetings to Bulgarians on National Day of Liberation

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev has received congratulatory addresses from world state leaders on the occasion of the 144th anniversary of Bulgaria's Liberation.

Congratulations to the Bulgarian people on the occasion of March 3, Bulgaria's National Day, were sent by US President Joseph Biden, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Queen Elizabeth II, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Emperor Naruhito of Japan, the King of Spain Felipe VI and by the leaders of 12 other countries from Europe, Asia and Africa.

"Freedom is not gained by a single act. It is our responsibility to protect and uphold it every day. Freedom does not come for free, but with the self-sacrifice of the thousands of fallen soldiers - Bulgarians, Russians, Ukrainians, Lithuanians, Belarusians, Finns, Poles, Romanians", said in a statement on Bulgaria's National Day Prime Minister Kiril Petkov.
