Bulgaria is one of two European countries that do not provide military assistance to Ukraine, said Bulgaria's Prime Minister Kiril Petkov. According to him, such a decision is not in the power of the government, but of the parliament.
The prime minister denied any external pressure to provide military support, adding that this should be done via public consensus.
"We see that 84% of the population does not want such help to be sent, and we were elected by the people after all," he said.
