ECOFIN gives the green light to the national recovery plans of Bulgaria and Sweden

The EU Ministers of Economy and Finance (ECOFIN) gave the green light to the national recovery and sustainability plans of Bulgaria and Sweden. The ECOFIN Council will approve them in a written procedure shortly after the informal video conference of the ministers held today, BNR correspondent in Brussels Angelina Piskova reported.

Once the decisions are formally adopted, Bulgaria and Sweden will be able to use the funds under the Mechanism to promote economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Bulgaria's Recovery and Sustainability Plan provides for 6.3 billion euros in grants
