Russia has imposed sanctions against 31 companies involved in the trade, transmission and storage of Russian natural gas in the European Union, Great Britain, the United States and Switzerland. WIEE Bulgaria EOOD, which owns a large package of contracts for the supply of Russian gas, is among the sanctioned companies. “The war will end for the Ukrainian people only when we get back what’s ours”, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an online address with students of leading universities in France, AFP reported.

The antigovernment rally in Sofia, organized by the opposition party Vazrazhdane, ended with tensions in front of the Sofia Municipality building. Police did not allow the protesters to remove the Ukrainian flag placed on the building’s terrace as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine. Later, the protesters temporarily blocked the Eagles’ Bridge- a key intersection located in central Sofia.
