Bulgarian boxer Sevda Asenova has won a bronze medal in the Women's World Boxing Championships in Istanbul. The 37-year-old national team boxer suffered a rib injury in the middle of the first round in her semifinal match in the 48-kg category against the representative of Kazakhstan Alua Balkibekova and was unable to continue the match.
Asenova has a European title from Sofia 2016 and three silver medals from European tournaments.
