Bulgarians in the Serbian town of Bosilegrad close to the border with Bulgaria are seeking assistance from the Bulgarian authorities to solve their problems. This became clear during the visit of Vice President Iliana Iotova to Bosilegrad. There she took part in the celebration on May 24, BNR correspondent Tsvetelina Stoyanova reported.

Iotova undertook to organize a meeting in Sofia within a month on the problems of our compatriots.

Iotova said she hoped the problems with Bulgarian textbooks in Serbia, where Bulgarians are recognized as a minority and have constitutional rights, would be resolved soon.

A business forum will be held in Bosilegrad in the autumn, aimed at the economic revival of the region of the Bulgaria's western outlands, Bulgarian Ambassador to Serbia Petko Doykov said.
