Bulgaria meets three of the four economic convergence criteria for joining the Eurozone, according to a European Commission Report.
This country meets the following criteria: sound and sustainable public finances, exchange rate stability and long-term interest rates. The criterion it does not meet is price stability. The EC 2022 convergence report evaluates the progress made by Bulgaria, as well as Romania, Croatia, Czechia, Poland, Hungary and Sweden which have not introduced the euro yet.
