Experts discuss ideas for the renovation of abandoned buildings and locations

Architects and municipal officials from all over the country held a three-day training seminar in the town of Sliven, dedicated to the renovation of abandoned areas in Bulgaria.

The initiative was organized by the Municipality of Sliven, in partnership with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Climate Support Facility.

The experts discussed various ideas for the restoration of abandoned areas in Sliven, including the use of former barracks in the city and the incorporation of the river into the park area. 

They also discussed the possibility of restoring the former hotel "Sliven" in its socialist appearance, as a curious testimony of a bygone era to attract visitors from all over the world.
