The Bulgarian National Radio presented, to the Council for Electronic Media, a project for the digitization of its audio archive. Over a period of four years, under the measures for safeguarding the cultural heritage, EUR 3.4 million from the Recovery and Resilience Plan will go to fund the digitization of the BNR's old tape recordings, the Bulgarian National Radio's Director General Milen Mitev said in his presentation of the national radio's report to the Council. A new tape depository is to be created to store the originals.

Meanwhile, the culture and media committee of the National Assembly approved amendments to the Radio and Television Act, by force of which 60% of the music aired by the public service Bulgarian National TV BNT and the Bulgarian National Radio from 6 AM until 8 PM has to be Bulgarian, and an overall quota of at least 50%.
