The new competition for Bulgarian pop songs "The Melody of Water" is being held for the first time this year. The professional jury has already awarded 12 songs, the premiere of which the audience will applaud at the gala concert on July 15 at the open-air stage of Hissarya. The founder and organizer of the festival is Ivan Dimov, whose desire is to attract talented artists and performers without age restrictions.

"At the heart of the organizing committee is the “15 Tulips” association, with which we have been working for more than ten years on a voluntary basis," Ivan Dimov told Radio Bulgaria. “For a long time we wanted to create something different, such as the "Melody of Water" festival. I dare say that during the pre-selection, many of the jury members shared that they haven't listened to such good songs in a long time, so I am sure that the event will turn into a celebration of music. In the preliminary stage, the jury included Mimi Ivanova, Razvigor Popov, Snezhina Petkova, your colleagues Zdravko Petrov and Hristina Yankova, and of course Georgi Miltiadov and me as the music director of the competition. Also, professionals such as Margarita Hranova, Stefan Diomov, Kristiyan Iliev, Nadezhda Zaharieva and others are invited to give their opinions. We will hear popular and beloved performers, including Iliya Angelov, Rumyana Kotseva, Petya Stancheva, vocal formation "Fortissimo", Boyan Mihailov and others.'

The orchestra, specially created for the event, will play under the baton of Georgi Miltiadov - conductor, pianist and composer.

"For us, this is a big challenge - to organize a competition for new Bulgarian pop songs like the San Remo festival, the Golden Orpheus, "Burgas and the Sea, says the conductor. The truly talented professional musicians need to be given a stage. As a fan of Bulgarian music and as an author of such, I embraced the idea completely.

I have another project coming up after that. It is called "World of Music" and features Vesko Eshkenazi and Veronika Todorova. Last summer I received an invitation from Vesco to make the arrangements for the project and conduct the concerts. It is a great honor for me, because he is a world-class musician. We will be at the Arts Festival in Koprivshtitsa on July 21, and from July 25 to 30 we are starting a six-day tour in Burgas, Plovdiv, Yambol, Sliven, Stara Zagora, Veliko Tarnovo. The programme was selected by Vesko and Veronika Todorova. I had the pleasure to arrange for a symphony orchestra the Toccata and Fugue in D minor by Bach, as well as the famous Queen of the Night aria from Mozart's The Magic Flute. There will also be film music, Michael Jackson, Queen, modern accordion classics.”
