New elections are the only way out of the grave crisis the country is in, Kostadin Kostadinov, leader of "Vazrazhdane" party, said during the consultations with President Rumen Radev on the formation of a government with the third mandate within the 47th National Assembly.

"The current parliament is completely out of resources. It is bankrupt both morally and governance-wise, we have huge problems with gathering a quorum... We need a working parliament. This parliament with this configuration will not be working," Kostadinov said. In his words, if a new government is formed within this parliament, it will "continue the agony and will cause serious problems in the autumn and in the upcoming winter, which will be very harsh".

This was the last of the consultations with the Bulgarian President. Rumen Radev is now to decide who to hand the third and final exploratory mandate to form a cabinet. If he is unsuccessful, dissolution of parliament and early elections will follow.
