Levski and CSKA Sofia qualify for the next round of UEFA Conference League

Levski Sofia football club has qualified for the next round of the UEFA Conference League football club competition. Levski and PAOK (Greece) drew 1:1 in an away game in Thessaloniki and advances to the next round with an aggregate score of 3:1. “Historical day. We managed to bring back the European behavior of Levski after eliminating PAOK”, Levski’s coach Stanimir Stoilov said after the match.

“The most important thing is that we managed to qualify for the next round”, CSKA head coach Sasha Ilich said after the match versus FK Makedonija Gjorče Petrov. CSKA won 4:0 in a home match and advanced to the next round with an aggregate score of 4:0.

In the third round, Levski Sofia will play against Hamrun Spartans FC (Malta). CSKA Sofia will play against St. Patrick’s Athletic (Ireland).

Meanwhile, Botev (Plovdiv) dropped out of the UEFA Conference League after suffering a 2:0 defeat against Apoel (Nicosia).
