Bulgaria's government should negotiate with Russia's Gazprom in order to minimize the sanctions in case of a possible arbitration procedure against Bulgaria. This is the opinion of the energy expert and chairman of the Bulgarian Energy and Mining Forum Ivan Hinovski.

In an interview with the BNR, he said that businesses should look for gas for the needs of their production process.

"Why is it necessary for large consumers to wait for Bulgargaz? Have we heard that Neftohim is waiting for gas from Bulgargaz? No! They buy gas separately," the expert pointed out.

According to him, the European decision for a 15% reduction in gas consumption shows the solidarity of the EU countries. According to him, this 15% is easier to achieve for Bulgaria than for Germany.

Hinovski predicts that heating will increase in price by no more than 20% in the next heating season.
