The mothers from "The System is Killing Us" announce their participation in the elections

The mothers of children with disabilities from the civil initiative "The system is killing us" will announce today their decision to participate in the early parliamentary elections. Symbolically, they will do this in front of their tent camp in the so-called triangle of power - between the buildings of the government, the National Assembly and the presidency, on the day of the Assumption of the Theotokos revered as the patroness of motherhood.

In a letter to the BSP leader Kornelia Ninova, the mothers explain their entry into politics with the argument that they do not want to see the slow death of their children anymore. They have been civically active for nearly 10 years, and participated in the anti-government protests in 2020.

As united parents of children and adults with disabilities, the mothers also got involved in the development of the Personal Assistance Law and organized numerous protests for its adoption and social policy reforms.
