Bulgarian high-school students won five medals - two gold, two silver and one bronze - at the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad in Kutaisi, Georgia, the Ministry of Education said.
They competed against 240 contestants from 48 countries. Alexander Prodanov from Kazanlak and Yavor Yordanov from Sofia won gold medals. The other three medals were earned by students from Varna and Burgas.
