Foreign Minister Milkov heads the Bulgarian delegation to the 77th session of the UN General Assembly

The Bulgarian government delegation led by caretaker Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov, is in New York to participate in the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday. 


The delegation took part in Monday’s Summit on Transforming Education, which was opened by UN Secretary General António Guterres.


In a video address, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev reaffirmed Bulgaria's constant commitment to better, quality and accessible education. Minister Milkov and the accompanying delegation also met with Jewish organizations in the United States. War in Ukraine, the energy crisis and the situation in the Middle East, as well as the National Plan for marking of the 80th anniversary next year of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews in World War II were discussed.
