“The voting machines which Bulgarians in the US, Canada, the UK and Greece will be using at the upcoming election have already been sent out,” Central Electoral Commission (CEC) spokesperson Rossitsa Mateva has announced. 301 is the number of polling stations abroad where the voting will take place by machine, in 238 of them there will be two machines. The highest number of voting machines will be sent to Turkey.

The Central Electoral Commission has made the decision for all slips from the machine votes to be counted at the respective polling stations. According to the methodological guidance to the section election commissions, 100% of the control slips must be counted. The result shall be filled out and certified in a separate tally sheet, which shall be scanned and uploaded to the Central Electoral Commission website, alongside the official election tally sheet.

The CEC is yet to make a decision on how voters with Covid-19 and their contacts are going to cast their vote.
