"Short-sighted policy has caused this type of production in Bulgaria to has shrink several times in recent years. Organic production, which was close to 7% years ago, has now collapsed to 1.5%," said Albena Simeonova, chair of the association. She pointed out that at the same time the import of organic products that were first exported from Bulgaria, processed in Germany and returned to this country, was very large.
