The European Public Prosecutor's Office housed in a landmark building at 134 Rakovska Street in Sofia

The building is best known as the first headquarters of the Union of Democratic Forces.

The government has decided to house the European Public Prosecutor's Office in Bulgaria in the landmark building at 134 Georgi Rakovski Street, Regional Minister Ivan Shishkov said.


The iconic building has housed many political parties over the years, but it is best known as the first headquarters of the Union of Democratic Forces during the political changes in Bulgaria after November 1989.The building was very modern when it was built in 1968 for the Ninth World Festival of Youth and Students.


The new offices of the EU Public Prosecutor's Office are close to the European Commission's representation in Sofia.
